14. WhatsApp Payment Setup (India)
WA Payments → SettingsCollect payments directly inside the WhatsApp chat — the customer taps 'Review and Pay' and pays via UPI or card without leaving WhatsApp. The gateway is linked once inside Meta's own WhatsApp Manager; Zenith then references it by name.
Before you start
- •Business and WhatsApp Business Account based in India.
- •A RazorPay, PayU, or Zaakpay account with KYC complete (settlements go to your bank).
- •Admin access to your WhatsApp Manager (business.facebook.com).
- 1
Open WA Payments → Settings tab in Zenith — it shows a 'How to Setup WhatsApp Pay' checklist.

Step 1 of the checklist is your WhatsApp Business API connection — already done if you completed Article 1 (Manage → Credentials).
- 3
Step 2: add a Direct Payment Method on your WhatsApp Account. This is done externally, inside Meta's WhatsApp Manager (business.facebook.com), not inside Zenith.

Back in Zenith, enter a Payment Configuration Name and select your Gateway: RazorPay, PayU, or Zaakpay → Save.
Capture: Zenith WA Payments → Settings with the configuration name and gateway saved. Highlight: the Gateway selector. - 5
Create your first Order Message (Article 16) so you're ready to send payment requests.
Good to know
- •There is no plain 'UPI VPA' option inside Zenith — the gateway choices are RazorPay, PayU, or Zaakpay.
- •Zenith does not store your gateway API keys or merchant credentials directly; the payment method itself is linked in Meta's WhatsApp Manager.
Tips
- •Money flows gateway → your bank directly; Zenith never holds your funds.
- •Zenith stores a reference name and your chosen gateway only — your actual merchant/API keys are configured on Meta's side, not inside Zenith.
