16. How to Configure Payment Requests
WA Payments → Setup MessagesOrder settings in Zenith are configured per Order Message rather than as one global default — this gives you different tax/shipping/expiry rules for different products or offers.
- 1
Go to WA Payments → Setup Messages → Order Messages tab → create a New Order Message (or edit an existing one).
Capture: New/Edit Order Message dialog. Highlight: the Tax Rate and Payment Expiration fields. - 2
Set the Tax Rate (%) and description, tick 'Prices already include tax' if relevant, and add a Shipping Charge or Discount for this order message.
- 3
Set the Payment Expiration (in seconds) — how long this order stays payable.
- 4
Go to the Payment Activities tab to turn on the Payment Success Message and Payment Failure Message auto-replies, and pick which template each one sends.
Capture: Payment Activities tab with success/failure toggles. Highlight: the Payment Success Message toggle. - 5
Save. Do one small test payment yourself to confirm the full flow end-to-end.
Good to know
- •There is no single, org-wide GST/tax settings screen — tax, shipping, discount and expiry are all set per Order Message, not globally.
Tips
- •Refunds are issued from your gateway dashboard (RazorPay/PayU/Zaakpay) — the status syncs back to the chat.
- •Keep your GST invoice series in your accounting software; a WhatsApp payment is collection, not invoicing.
